We recently had the pleasure of photographing our good friend Josh in the studio as he made some musical magic. He brought along some of his homemade equipment such as the gasmask microphone and the baby doll theremin. The goal of these images was to create a bit of a narrative about his creative process.
For these shots we built a tiny set and lit it with a pair of speedo heads firing through an 8'x8' silk camera left. Josh was lit with a Profoto Acute head with a beauty dish on a boom camera right. The long exposure shot was accomplished by firing the speedos once and the profoto several times during a several second exposure. Fun!
