What a busy week this was!
Tuesday we shot a series of environmental portraits for Toronto based, Travel Insurance Coordinators. The idea was to show a more personal side of some of the TIC employees by photographing them while they did some of their favorite hobbies and activities. This worked out great for us, since its a lot easier to coach someone to look natural while doing an activity when they actually do that activity. Who would have thought?
We took a very light approach to this shoot, thinking that too much setup would make the subjects uncomfortable. Fortunately a nice overcast sky provided an ambient fill light. All we did was bring in a small strip-box on a Profoto 7B to open up some shadows and we were off to the races! We shot all the images on a Canon 5D MKIII with either the 24-70 f/2.8 L, or 70-200 f/2.8 L.
We're pretty happy with the results. Check out some of our favorites!
